Privacy
Privacy notice for the Trenz Events website, contact channels and customer management. Updated: 8 October 2026.
This notice describes data processing by Trenz Events. The privacy notice published on djtrenz.de applies to that website.
Controller and privacy contact
Jannik Trenz, sole trader operating under the business names Trenz Events and DJ Trenz, Lisdorfer Straße 20, 66740 Saarlouis, Germany. For questions about your data or to exercise your rights, contact info@trenzevents.eu or +49 174 9391794. No data protection officer has been appointed; this contact reaches the responsible owner.
Scope
This notice covers processing when visiting trenzevents.eu, making enquiries and using our customer and contract management services. The privacy notice published on djtrenz.de applies to that website. Taking and providing guest photographs at events is a separate processing activity; the guests concerned must be informed separately before images are taken.
Website access and hosting
The website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, proprietor René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. Delivery and protection of the website involve processing IP addresses, requested resources, request times and technical connection data. The basis is our legitimate interest in a reliable and secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have a data processing agreement with ALL-INKL under the terms dated 25 August 2026. The agreed safeguards specify web-hosting storage exclusively in Germany. The subprocessor is Neue Medien Münnich GmbH, Bautzener Straße 56, 02742 Neusalza-Spremberg. Customer access logs and visitor statistics are disabled in the regular hosting account. This is distinct from technical logs the provider processes to secure its infrastructure. Their retention is governed by the security purpose and the provider’s legal obligations.
Trenz Events · Fonts, media, cookies and external links
The pages we have created load fonts, photographs and the photo mirror video from the website’s own files. Our website code does not set analytics or advertising cookies and does not use Squarespace Analytics, Google Analytics, reCAPTCHA, external maps or embedded social-media feeds. Instagram and Google reviews are ordinary external links. Their providers’ privacy rules apply when you follow a link and visit their services.
Contact by email or telephone
When you contact us, we process the contact details, message content and event information you provide to handle your enquiry. For steps leading to a contract or its performance, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other enquiries, it is our legitimate interest in responding under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our info@trenzevents.eu mailbox is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Providing information is voluntary. Without the details needed to handle your request, we may be unable to respond or prepare an offer. The mailbox is also connected to Bookitup via IMAP. Email contents, sender and recipient details and, where applicable, attachments are therefore also processed in Bookitup insofar as they are retrieved through this connection. We use the connection to handle and organise our business correspondence. Further information about the service appears in the Bookitup section.
Trenz Events · Enquiry form
When you submit our enquiry form, your entries are sent directly over an encrypted connection to our Bookitup profile. The recipient is bookitup GmbH, Heinrich-Höschler-Str. 57, 50226 Frechen, Germany. We transmit your first and last name (the contact person for businesses), email address and event date, plus optional company name, location, country, telephone number, guest count and message, as well as the selected service, occasion, package, language and the Trenz Events identifier. We also send this website’s hostname followed by #kontakt to identify the source. The service receives technical connection data, including your IP address. We use the information to handle your enquiry and, where applicable, prepare a booking. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries, or our legitimate interest in handling incoming enquiries under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our form code contacts Bookitup only when you submit, not while you type. Submission does not conclude a booking contract. Further provider information is available in the Bookitup privacy notice linked below. Our retention follows the criteria in the Retention section.
Customer and contract management with Bookitup
We use Bookitup to manage customer enquiries and digital contract acceptance. Processing includes the contact, event and contract details required for the transaction, messages and records kept for contract acceptance. The recipient is bookitup GmbH, Heinrich-Höschler-Str. 57, 50226 Frechen, Germany. Preparing and performing a contract with you is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; other enquiries and business contact details are processed under our legitimate interest in handling and organising the business relationship under Article 6(1)(f). Submitting the website enquiry form does not itself accept a contract. Data required to document contract acceptance is retained with the relevant transaction. The criteria in the Retention section apply.
Invoicing with Lexware Office
We use Lexware Office for customer data and invoices, processing the necessary customer and contact details, invoice data and service information. Its published processing agreement identifies Haufe Service Center GmbH, Munzinger Straße 9, 79111 Freiburg, Germany, as processor. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual performance and Article 6(1)(c) for statutory accounting and retention obligations. Data is deleted when applicable retention duties expire unless another legal basis requires further storage. Further provider information is linked below.
Contact channel · WhatsApp Business
We use WhatsApp Business as an optional contact channel. If you contact us there, we process your messages, telephone number and any name provided to handle your enquiry, using the same legal bases as for email enquiries. The EEA provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. WhatsApp processes its own usage and connection data, potentially outside the EEA; its linked privacy notice explains this. You can contact us by email or telephone instead. The WhatsApp Business app has access to the device’s address book and may match stored telephone numbers with its service. We use end-to-end encryption for automatic WhatsApp backups. This setting does not cover all other iCloud data.
Retention
We retain enquiries only for as long as needed to handle them and, where applicable, the resulting contract. We then delete the data unless legal retention duties or evidence needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims require continued storage. If retention is required by law, further use is restricted to that purpose. Consent may be withdrawn at any time for the future; this does not override separate legal retention requirements. For enquiries without a booking, the relevant criteria are when the enquiry is finally resolved and no necessary evidence needs to be retained. These criteria also apply to the copies we manage in Bookitup and the email mailbox.
Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you may request access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18) and data portability (Article 20). Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time for the future (Article 7(3)). Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. Please use the contact details above to exercise these rights.
Right to object
Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21(1)). We will stop that processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds overriding your interests or need the data for legal claims. You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time without giving reasons; we will then stop using the data for that purpose.
Complaints to a supervisory authority
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR), in particular where you habitually live or work or where the alleged infringement occurred. The authority for our business location is the Saarland Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information: Unabhängiges Datenschutzzentrum Saarland, Fritz-Dobisch-Straße 12, 66111 Saarbrücken, Germany. Its contact page is linked below.
Apple Mail and iCloud
Apple Mail is our email application; IONOS hosts the mailbox. Business contacts are also stored or synchronised in iCloud through our ordinary Apple account. The provider is Apple Distribution International Limited, Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland. Data may also be processed outside the EEA. Apple describes international transfers and safeguards in its privacy information linked below. Storage supports the handling and organisation of our business contacts. Data necessary to prepare or perform a contract is processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; organising other business contacts is based on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f). The Retention section applies to contacts and synchronised copies.
DJ referrals and sharing enquiry data
If you request a DJ referral, we forward your completed event questionnaire to the DJ selected for your enquiry. It contains the information you enter in the questionnaire, including contact and event details so the DJ can handle the request. The DJ contacts you and contracts directly with you for the performance, processing the received data under their own responsibility. Processing necessary for the requested referral is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; business contact processing relies on our legitimate interest in the referral under Article 6(1)(f). Please do not enter health data, other sensitive information or unnecessary information about third parties in the free-text message field.
